Barrisol stretch coatings can be installed with a maximum thickness of 0.05 to 0.10 mm, in more than hundred colors and designs with glossy, matte, transparent, porous fabric and velvet fabric coatings in the shortest possible time.
This technology is very light in weight, and can be installed with a special device at a specific temperature as integrated in dimensions of 8 x 8 meters (64 square meters).
The installation procedures are very fast. The profiles (rails) are installed on the site in accordance with a predetermined plan and common demands of designer and employer on the basis of the desired final form, and are then covered with a stretch coating.
It should be noted that these coatings have no limitation and can be implemented in accordance with any design and idea in any environment.

What is a Barrisol strech ceiling?

A Barrisol ceiling is a non-flammable sheet of PVC (classified M1 in France, Bd B-S2-d0 in Europe, Class 0 in UK and Class I in the USA) which is tightened by the use of heat on the periphery of the walls thanks to a specific track system. (Patent deposited).

By its structure and its interchangeableness (the ceilings can be taken down and remounted again, without damaging the supports), the BARRISOL ceiling is subjected to the biennial “guaranteed” insurance.
However, BARRISOL NORMALU S.A.S grants a 10-year guarantee on the welded seams as well as on harpoon profile welds.
The color and the aspect of the ceiling are guaranteed two years under normal conditions of use.
Damaged ceilings with defects related to this guarantee will be replaced as soon as they have been returned to the factory in order to determine the origin of the damage.
Nevertheless BARRISOL NORMALU S.A.S grants this guarantee only if the material used for the installation of the ceiling or any other item incorporated into the ceiling, are all manufactured and supplied by BARRISOL NORMALU S.A.S

Ceilings are delivered from the factory in sealed cardboard cartons. Please handle cartons with care.
Ceilings can only be installed in sealed finished buildings that are clean and free of dust. If ceiling cartons are subject to cold/freezing conditions it is most important that they rest for 24 hours in a warm environment before opening.
Barrisol ceilings require little maintenance, a range of cleaning products are available to suit your ceiling finish.
The ceilings are custom made in our factory, adaptation can be necessary during installation therefore it is imperative that only authorized factory trained installers perform installation and dismantling of Barrisol ceilings in accordance with their technical training.
In the case of removing a Barrisol ceiling :
- Heat the ceiling using the hot air generator.
- Gently pick the harpoon from the track with special Barrisol removal tool and spatula.
- Let the sheet cool before folding and packing.
- Use protective film between layers.
Ceilings installation in new buildings under construction, can only be performed in sealed, dry and dust free areas.
- The plenum must be 100% airtight.
- Insulation materials installed in the plenum will have a minimum fire classification M1(non flammable)
- Roller blind boxes must be airtight.
Ceiling installation in existing buildings does not require the removal of furniture; however it is advisable smaller items are removed for safety and that any furniture is covered for protection.
Lighting
Directional embedded spotlights are generally compatible with BARRISOL. When the diffused heat is greater that 50v C, it is obligatory to place an insulating ring between the rose of the spot and the BARRISOL sheet.
The power of the spots should not be higher than 50W. Spots that transmit more than 60v C to the metallic rose are not compatible with BARRISOL ceilings, even equipped with insulating rings.
Lighting transformers are generally fixed directly to the existing ceiling or on the wall. The Barrispot is formed to receive the transformer which can be reached by hand without taking down the ceiling.
Ventilation
Mechanical ventilation must be adjusted to ensure that air inlet and air extraction is balanced.
